Finally my phone arrived.

htc Magic~ A touch screen phone.

Is it nice? Is the phone really that magical ? Haha..
This is my second white color phone. White is really elegant.

Browsed through a while during lunch time. It uses all google related applications. Gmail..Youtube.. Can be easily access through a button.

Need time to explore on more its applications. And also need time to switch from Nokia to the htc environment. I hope it is more user friendly than a window based phone. :)

Mooncake Festival

Mooncake festival is around the corner. Yesterday, I went to Junction 8, Bishan to have my lunch. There is a Mid-Autumn Delights, setup by most of the well known hotels and bakeries, selling their products.



Talking about mooncake, I have bought two boxes from Raffles Hotel during their roadshow at our BHQ canteen. 25% off for employees.
I chose 1 box of traditional bake mooncake and another is their best seller of the snow-skin mooncake.
This is the most expensive mooncakes I ever bought. Both bought at SGD39 after discount.

This is the traditional bake: Lotus paste with 2 egg yolks.

And this is the snow-skin with champagne truffle and ganache.

Back to the Mid-Autumn Delight at Junction 8. I walked booth by booth checking out on their creativity of the gift box and their new flavor for the year. Wanted to buy one box, but very hard to choose, cause there are too many varieties.

Which shall I go for? Since it's a gift to my auntie, I will choose for a nice box after the mooncake which will always comes first.

Tried a few, before I decided to buy from Shangri-La Hotel. Chosen their Shang's Palace Four Treasures, which contained 4 different flavors.

Haha.. I forgotten to promote for Classic Hotel in Muar. Just noticed it when I checked through my posts :p

First, let's take a picture of myself in front of its big mirror. :)


Complimentary Coffee + Coffeemate + Tea + Sugar.. Kettle.. I remember they just changed to this new one. The previous one is very dirty inside.

There is this device beside the bed, where it functions are to control the TV channels and volumes, all the lights inside the room, air-conditioner temperatures and fan, and also as a alarm clock. Sounds superb right? But, every device in different rooms has different time. The buttons are also hard to press in some rooms. The worst that I experienced was not able to switch off the light. Argghh... Don't like to sleep with lights on. And, I never use the alarm clock, because I have no confidence on it.

In the bath room, there is also complimentary toiletries: Body shampoo, hair shampoo, shower cap and soap. The comb belongs to me. :D

StarHub RoadShow at AMK BHQ canteen

Since my phone line is ready for re contract (almost 2yrs), and there is a free Caller ID Display + International Roaming (worth SGD240) if re contract during the roadshow, I took a walk down to the venue to choose for a phone. And also because the phone's battery that I am using now is not good.

Nowadays, all the phones design are big, heavy (metal feel when holding), with lotsa keypads, big screen. If to choose a small thin phone, Sony Ericson will be the choice. But, I don't really like it.

I had few phones since my first year in University. First was a big and bulky one, Motorola. Can't remember the phone model. Let me check...
Ah, found it. It wasMotorola 8900. Just like those you can see from HK movies 10yrs back. Haha.

Then I changed to 8250 Nokia, with a butterfly on the keypad. I like the phone very much. And also it was because I bought it using my own money, if not wrong, it costs me >RM1k, year 2001 if not wrong.

And then, 6288 Nokia (White)..Then, O2 Zinc PDA phone.
But the O2 is pretty big in size. I quit using it since months ago. In fact, I used it the most to play Bubbles game.. Haha..

Then, now using 6288 Nokia (Black).

So, after checking out the phone model available there, at last, placed my order for HTC Magic.
White color, and it costs me sgd248 (after deducts sgd50 voucher).

Delivery will be next Wednesday. Looking forward to my new phone. ^^

IroDori (彩) - Riverview Hotel

Leaving from office ~11.45am... Heading to the ala-carte buffet restaurant, located at Havelock Road.

Located at 3rd floor of the hotel. There is a colorful 'Cai' at the front door.
The restaurant is not too big, because it needs only a counter for fresh shashimi and hidden kitchen for other dishes preparations.
There is no complimentary parking provided because the restaurant is not under the hotel management. Waiter and waitress are efficient to clear our empty plates and to refill hot green tea.

Since it's ala-carte buffet, first time for me, don't know how to place order as the food has no pictures on the menu, only 2 full pages with long lists of their dishes. The girl helped us to place order and served dish by dish. Very good, no need to think what to eat.

There are few appetizers placed in front of us. Edamame is one of it!! Nice.. Their edamame is quite big, bigger than those I ate at Sanga. The one next to it is broad beans. We used to eat it in fried. But this served with boiled. Pretty good.

Here comes the first main dish!! The King in Japanese cuisine. Shashimi mix.

There are Salmon, Swordfish, Cuttlefish, Octopus, Tuna, etc...

There are few one time dishes that you can order for each person. I know grilled cheese prawns, grilled salmon fish head and mushroom are one time dish. Others not so sure. Because I was busy eating.

One thing dissapointed me, there is no Chuka Idako, my favorite dish.

Two days ago, one of the colleagues asked me where are the photos?

I replied: "Har? What photo?"

"The one you took during the buffet.."

Oh gosh, I totally forgotten. Hehe...

Just came back from a long weekend, a small vacation at Genting Highlands.

First time spent 2nights up there. Nothing much, just to enjoy the cooling environment.

At first thought, why the promo is over, they still posting this?
Is it not yet over? Hmm.. let me check again. Not to lose any chance to grab for cheap tickets. :p
To my surprise, I found travelling period from 10th May to end of May still available. Wow… This is great! Can’t wait to check out with my travel mate whether she is still interested to go or not.

The Cherry Blossoms Trip boiled soup

I am so sad when I found out the booking that I made on 25th Aug turned out nothing.

Booking status “Failed”
Ticket “Holding Sold”
What does these means? Sigh. I interpreted it wrongly. In fact, the whole booking is failed. No names entered into their booking system. Another thing that makes me angry is their automated telephone system. First try, waited 5mins, no officer pick up. Second try, waited another 5mins, no one again. Keep on playing on their advertisements. I gave up and asked my hubby do it.
He waited until officer pick up the call, and I think he waited at least 10mins. What a lazy officers that don’t want to pick up the phone. I don’t believe there is only 1 or 2 of them. Hate it.

I was asked to redo the booking through internet, but all stated SOLD OUT. Sob.

Yesterday I was still actively checking out places to visit, to plan for our iternerary.

No more cheap tickets to Japan.. It was only sgd398 for return trip, some more flying with MAS. What to do, wait for the next promo fare.

This song gives me a very nice image whenever I listen to it.
It is just like a very touching story that palying in front of me. I think it can be screened into movie, directed by Sylvia Chang (张艾嘉).
If I can take a few shots to show the story that I am seeing, I am sure you will have the same feeling as me.
I think I gotta check out on the movie clip of this song.
It could be the same story that 'displayed' in front of me.
