Starting on PS CS4

These few days, I have a lot of things to jot down. A lot of ideas to be jotted down in my blog.
Read some phrases that refreshed me, recalled me, reminded me of feelings that I had before.

After the Apple arrival, two things I need to focus on.
I need to learn and get used to Mac environment and I need to start learning on images editing using CS4(at last, I have no more reason not to start, :P).

So, the first step that I took is to get a book on Adobe Photoshop. Only can find CS3 from CCK library. Anyway, it should be not too much different. Let's just started with CS3! :)

Jan Shim, a freelance photographer from Brunei Darussalam

Yesterday I read on a blog, by Jan Shim when I was searching for pai dee mak tu's thumbdrive.
His blog is very interesting. He took nice pictures with his EOS5D. He has a XiaoBai too. :) I like his entry about BRIDEX. He posted very interesting pics of the events.
And from his blog, I can learn some skills that are very useful for photography.
Canon users, WE ARE!!! :)

An 'Apple' a Day, Keep the Doctor Away~

+0@NTU

After months considering and comparing, finally I bought an Apple back home.
Still, the main purpose of the Apple is for its fast processing during images editing.

The best deal is still at NTU PC Fair that held from 17th - 21st August.

~MacBook Pro 13" LED-backlit widescreen~
2.26GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Free upgrade from 2GB to 4GB memory
160GB hard drive
SD card slot
Built-in 7-hour battery
NVIDIA GeForce 9400M graphics
Weight: 2.04kg
With includes: Free upgrade to Mac OS X Snow Leopard
USB Retractable Mouse
AppleCare Protection
Adobe CS4 Web Premium
Microsoft Office 2008
Carry Bag
All the above costs S$2309.06 (incl GST)

Isn't it a good deal, as compared to other dealer? But not to other brands. With the same price you paid, you can get a higher end from HP, Acer, etc..
Luckily, my husband is holding the NTU badge(yea, he is back to school!), or else, we can't get this best deal.

Apple picture will be uploaded, because I am still at the first phase of learning how to use MAC and CS4. :)

Stay tuned~~

Department Lunch at Aquamarine Marina Mandarin Hotel

+0@Aquamarine

3rd of August.. It's our department lunch day. It was not easy to set the date to suit everyone timetable. Luckily no need to wait too long for it!! :) End of the month, another one coming up. Great!

Brought along my gear (not mine actually, hie..) in a big grocery bag. Cause don't want to be too obvious. :)

Before to start taking photos, I did asked to the waitress whether I am allowed to do so, because there are some buffet restaurant don't allow, eg Vienna Buffet at United Square.

Never expect the environment is a bit dark.. I didn't bring along the flash. So, what to do, tried my best to take without blur pic. At least still can add fill lights when editing. :)

Let's see what you will see when you entered into the restaurant.
Da-dang... the dessert corner.

Can you see something like a model ?
Let see it bigger...
I wonder whether this whole thing is made by chocolate, or it's just look like chocolate..

Let's take a look of the surrounding.

Here is a table next to us.
There are some seats outside. But I think the section is closed during lunch time.

Time for the food section. I think they served more dessert than main courses. Still Shangri-La Hotel's buffet is the best. More variety, especially the chocolate fountain. Unresistable!

Anyway, back to the food in Aquamarine.. Most of my colleagues were hunting for fresh oyster.. And there are also clams, prawns, crabs...

Spotted a big big bottle of tabasco at the seafood section. 1gallon man..How to pour it out, I wonder.. Or it's just for decoration..

Some nyonya delights displayed on this four-layer rack.

Bread and Porridge section.
Japanese cuisine corner. Was like hidden behind a wall. Not too much variety. No tempura. No Chuka Idako. No smoked salmon.

Some decorations around.
Dessert time ! Haha.. so fast..

Last but not least, pictures with us. I think I took only two. Haha.. Aquamarine is the main star for this event.
And finally, our group photo.

Still a lot for me to improve in photography. 加油!加油!

Lunch @ Jalapeno's Pepper

+0@LotOne-ChoaChuKang

After few days in Muar, finally back to my home sweet home.

Need to go library.. Little sweetheart want to go out for a walk.. Lazy to cook for lunch today..
Haha.. The last one is the main reason to have lunch outside.

Little sweetheart with her new hairpin. Jus bought it. Suit her so much. :)

Few choices there, Mos Burger, Dian Xiao Er, Subway, KFC, CharChanTeng, etc... At last we chose Jalapeno's Pepper, which served Mexican food. And also because there is space for stroller. Never try before. And is it a franchise shop ?

This is a fast food restaurant. After you ticked what you want, then just proceed to the counter. Payment by cash only.
We ordered a salad and 2 main dishes, with mineral water.

Caribbean chicken salad served with mustard sauce:
Not too bad, and the price is reasonable. Without chicken, you pay sgd2.50. With chicken, only extra 30cents. Why not with chicken. :) On top, there are some corn.

Grilled chicken pasta with spicy tomato sauce, served on hot plate:
First time I ate spaghetti on hot plate. Not too bad cause it can keep the spaghetti warm for a longer period. The grilled chicken doesn't really looks like grilled. More like Cook in water only. :p But, the sauce is nice. This dish costs sgd7.20.

Fajita with Beef, served with fries and coleslaw:
From the outlook, the fajita looks not too big portion, but, inside hidden a lot of sliced beef. :) Covered with a lot of vege, nice. This mexican fajita costs sgd6.90.

All the dishes look not too much, but it's pretty filling. Nice...
